Soup For Souls
Chef Janae has started up a new outreach called Soup For Souls. The outreach consists of Chef Janae and volunteers cooking up large pots of soups and stews and handing out bowls full of it to the homeless in Downtown Frederick, Maryland. The outreach kick-off date was October 17, 2015 and we had a really great turn out and time. We have continued to host this event several times each year. Check back for future 2019 dates!
The way the outreach works is when someone purchases our services for their event or weekly meals etc, they can make a donation of any monetary value on their invoice or through our website. Of course, you do not have to be a client or make a purchase to be able to donate to Soup For Souls. Once that is done we will get all of the materials and ingredients necessary to create and hand out soup and toiletries. We are always looking for volunteers of all ages so please feel free to contact us at or chefjanaecooks.com.

Matthew 14:15-21 NLT
15 That evening the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away so they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.”16 But Jesus said, “That isn’t necessary—you feed them.”17 “But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish!” they answered.18 “Bring them here,” he said. 19 Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people. 20 They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. 21 About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children!
